In Siem Reap we stayed in 'La Rose Blanche Boutique', a Four Star hotel 5 minutes from Siem Reap River. The Hotel is located in a quiet side alley next to a Buddhist Temple - yet still in central Siem Reap. It features lovely spacious rooms and a swimming pool, as well as a restaurant. We payed 29 Euros a night via Booking.com
The staff are lovely and eager to help. They assisted us in getting Darius' purse back when it had been lost.
The double rooms feature a huge double bed, a bath, a spacious shower and toilet, TV, sitting area and desk. The anemities include towels, AC, hairdryer, a kettle, tea and coffee and toiletries. Both rooms and pool area are constantly kept clean.
The breakfast was European and of ok quality - we mostly ate out. We had our first dinner in the restaurant - since we arrived very late, and the lunch and dinner dishes are quite yummy.
There are Tuk Tuk drivers always waiting outside the Hotel, yet if you walk five minutes into the city you might find some with cheaper fares. The services of the hotel-bound Tuk Tuk drivers are up to $5 more expensive.
Mosquitoes do get into you rooms and are annoying to kill, with a room that large.
Our stay at La Rose Blanche Boutique was very relaxing and comfortable indeed.
